Stephanie is a native Angeleno. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Economics with a minor in Education from UC Santa Cruz and her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA., during which she studied and began specializing in women’s health physical therapy, including pelvic floor disorders, and working with breast cancer survivors with or at risk for lymphedema.
She is a member of the Section on Women’s Health of the American Physical Therapy Association.
Before pursuing a career in physical therapy, Stephanie was a teacher in the Burbank school district. She believes patient education is an integral part of physical therapy and she encourages her patients to be an active participant in their plan of care.
Stephanie is also a yoga teacher with specialized training in mindfulness techniques. She completed an evidence-based mindfulness workshop that focused on the work of Jon Kabat-Zin, creator of mindfulness-based stress reduction.
Stephanie brings a holistic approach to patient care as she loves blending her passion for yoga and mindfulness with the healing art of physical therapy. When not at work, Stephanie enjoys practicing yoga, lifting weights, skiing in the Rocky Mountains, exploring local restaurants and going on adventures with her beagle mix, JJ.
