Yael received her Master’s in Occupational Therapy from San Jose State in 2011. She interned at the San Diego VA and UCLA. Yael then worked at Chaim Sheba Medical Center in Israel specializing in Acute Traumatic Brain Injury and neurological disorders.
Additionally, Yael spent time working in a specialized clinic aimed at technological advances for upper extremity rehabilitation following brain or spinal cord injury.
Yael has created and led groups for adl skills such as adaptive cooking, photography, as well as mindful meditation.
Yael partook in research endeavors for Tel Aviv University and participated in the Sunnass International Stroke Network (presenting in Norway and Sweden). Upon returning to California Yael gained further experience working in Home Health as well as in orthopedic rehabilitation at a community-based hospital.
Yael enjoys spending time with her family, including two children and a dog. She loves sitting at cafes, traveling, painting, tennis and being outdoors.
