Orthopedic Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapy is a form of rehabilitation that views the individual in a holistic manner. The therapist's goal is to help enhance aspects of the individual’s life that are problematic due to injury, illness, disability, lifestyle and/or environment.
Occupational therapists help people to perform, modify or adapt their skills and activities in order to live happier, healthier lives.
At Rehabilitation Specialists our occupational therapists can help you in areas including hand therapy, upper extremity therapy, ergonomics, recommendations for assistive devices for self and home care, postural education and stress reduction (including yoga and deep breathing).
Our goal in physical therapy always has been to get the individuals back to function as much as possible.
This should help patients recreate the pattern by giving support and allowing the therapist to use neurodynamic resistance and assistance in moving the body forward
